The Paris club hosted the 9th edition of the Coupe de Thélème, created by Charlie Hurstel offering players with highly competitive handicaps in France and the UK to play. For the second time, there were two exciting tournaments: a Handicap tournament and a Level tournament.

The level tournament benefited from both long standing players from Paris, like Nicolas Victoir, Benjamin Jacquin, Florent Brethon, and Clément Depreeuw, and Julian Bey, among others, as well as some new faces, notably the runner up in the level tournament, Jonny Whitaker as well as Max and Nick Warner, Dan Worboys and Nigel Pendrigh from the UK as well as Nicolas Ovial from Bordeaux. In the end, Nicolas’ power and placement outgunned Jonny, who started with a weakened ancle, leading to another victory. The consolation round finals was very close, with Nick Warner eaking out a win after 9-9, 40-40 against Nigel Pendrigh.

There were many players mainly from the French clubs in the Handicap draws, both the main and consolation round, leading to a win by Alexis de Chaisemartin in the main handicap draw against Clément Depreeuw.

The club supported the event with a cocktail eve followed by a full party: great for players and guests and providing another reason for players to cross the English channel next year for the 10th edition.
