From June 13 to 15, the Club du Jeu de Paume in Bordeaux was buzzing with excitement as it hosted its prestigious Coupe de Bordeaux. The 2025 edition was marked by a very high level of play, a friendly atmosphere, and weather as unpredictable as the scores on the field.
Kickoff under challenging weather conditions
On Friday, the first matches set the tone. At the Bordeaux venue, the atmosphere was already electric and the exchanges were fiercely contested. Spectators were treated to some great matches, including an intense encounter between Xavier Thouzeau and Vincent Letonturier, won by the latter after a real battle in three sets: 6/0 – 4/6 – 6/0. Our intern Stephen also caused a sensation by playing his first tournament; he did extremely well, despite losing to Jean-Baptiste Rossi, one of our best players, with a score of 6/1 – 6/0. The last match even ended with a summer storm, to end the day on a high note. This first day allowed the players to get into the tournament while creating a friendly atmosphere, punctuated by cheers and the first strong emotions.

Saturday: sports, entertainment, and sharing
The competition intensified on Saturday with a series of thrilling matches. One of the most memorable was the match between Jean-Baptiste Rossi and Paul Bollerman, concluded with a great 6/0 – 6/5 win for JB Rossi. Another surprise: the unexpected outcome of the match between Nicolas Planty and Nicolas Victoir, won decisively by the latter (6/4 – 6/0 ).
Alongside the matches, outdoor games provided a chance to relax between sets in a laid-back atmosphere. In the evening, all the participants gathered at the Jardin Pêcheur, in the heart of Bordeaux for a convivial meal shared in good spirits. A wonderful moment of relaxation after a busy day.

Sunday: finals and worthy winners
Sunday had its greatest moments in store, with the Finals in singles, doubles and consolation. The intensity on the field, the quality of play, and the commitment of the players made for a truly spectacular event. Some matches will undoubtedly remain etched in people's memories for a long time to come, given how hard-fought and spectacular they were.
