National Championship Senior Doubles- photos and results
In early December, the Parisian club hosted this year’s annual doubles tournament for players over 50, drawing nearly a dozen competitors from across France. On Saturday following earlier rounds, the semifinals pitted top seeds Michel Brunero and Charles Blanchot against Jim Foley and Philippe Mariani.
Shortly after the second semi-finals witnessed an upset as William Holmberg and Bertrand Saint Martin secured a surprise place in the final after a victory over Ivan Semenoff and Tim Batten. Despite the ultimate score in the final match demonstrating the dominance of the top seeded team, the two sets were filled with many impressive exchanges and winning gallery shots for the spectators at the club and watching online.
