Last weekend the French championships for over-50s and over-60s were played on the court in Fontainebleau.
In the +50 bracket, a splendidly intense final witnessed Julien Bey's imperious 6/4 6/3 victory over a tenacious Jeremy Wintersteen.
In the +60 category, it was Tim Batten who, while leading 2/0, won after Ivan Semenoff withdrew due to an injury.
Thanks to all the participants and for the level of play which delighted the spectators. Many thanks and bravo to Guillaume, who refereed this weekend's game so masterfully. Thanks also to Charles Blanchot for his help with the refereeing, allowing Guillaume to take a breather.
