For the first time, the French championships included 4 categories: 50+, 60+, 70+ and 80+.
A great weekend of paume: camaraderie, fierce competition and fierce matches, as evidenced by the large number of 3-set games!
Rémy Salmon won the 80+ title despite strong resistance from Michel Oddo.
François Bernheim dominated the 70+ category, beating the tough Jean-Marc Fontaine in the final.
Jean-Marc Deleau brilliantly beat Bertrand Saint-Martin in the final of the 60+ category. Hugues Thiébaut was the revelation of the tournament. To be continued...
Julien Bey pocketed a 3rd title in the 50+ category, beating Charles Blanchot in the final who, as usual, spared no effort to try and stop him! Arnaud Tribaudeau also made his mark on the tournament.
