The French 4th series championship took place last weekend in Fontainebleau.
In both singles and doubles, William Holmberg won the singles title against our Bellifontan darling, Othmane Belhal, who was slightly weakened by an ankle injury... but no excuses! The match was tight and full of suspense: 4/6 6/2 6/4.
In doubles, William teamed up with our beloved secretary, Emmanuel Gérard, to form a formidable pair. Together, they triumphed over Thomas Dortu, a regular in the finals, and Thierry Aubertin from Bordeaux. Once again, suspense was the order of the day, with a match played out over three rounds: 6/5 3/6 6/2.
A consolqtion round was also organized for those unsuccessful in the first round. Yann Perrier, from Fontainebleau, saved the day after a hard-fought encounter: 8/6 face à Thierry Aubertin.
Well done and thank you to all the participants! A big thank you also to Guillaume and Tanguy, for their impeccable organization, refereeing and resistance to the cold!
