Once played annually, the cup has been contested every two years since 1946 between England, Australia, the United States, and France. The tournament is reserved for amateurs and organized by national team.

After 8 years, the Bathurst Cup is back in France! This amateur tournament bringing together the four nations of Real Tennis — France, Great Britain, the United States, and Australia — will first see the seeded players compete against one another, before determining the lineup for the final.
The format resembles that of the Davis Cup in tennis, with two singles matches followed by a decisive doubles match.
