We are delighted to share with you the latest news from the other side of the world concerning Florent Brethon,France's current number 1 under 24.
Florent started playing palm in Bordeaux when the club opened in the summer of 2020 with Chris Ronaldson. Since then, he has had the opportunity to travel to Radley and Washington to lend clubs a hand from time to time, while continuing to improve his game and taking part in a few tournaments in France. He also juggles his training with his studies in Rouen, where he is currently in his fourth year of engineering school.
Florent is currently on a six-month exchange programme in Melbourne, where he will be training at the Royal Melbourne Tennis Club (RMTC) alongside such tennis greats as Franck Filipelli, Kate Leeming, Chris Chapman, John Woods-Cassey and Jonathan Howell. We're particularly proud to share that after just two months there, Florent has reached his best handicap level ever, dropping below 20 for the first time. A very positive development for the rest of his career!
He is ccurrently looking for an internship and/or contract for the 2024/2025 academic year, Florent hopes to find an opportunity in Paris to build on his promising career. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours and will continue to support him in his sporting and academic achievements.
