Le week-end suivant, du 20 au 22 mars, le club a accueilli la Raquette de Laiton, Championnat de France 4e série. 13 joueurs au départ, dont 11 bordelais. Le titre pouvait difficilement nous échapper.
And yet, two players from Fontainebleau nearly spoiled the party — both semifinals pitted a Fontainebleau player against a Bordeaux player, and both were played at a superb level. The two Bordeaux players came through at home and met each other in the final.
On one side, Thomas Largeron — the young newcomer, playing for less than a year.
On the other, Thierry Aubertin — experience personified, riding a second wind after claiming the French Over-60s Championship title just weeks earlier
Here's a natural English rendering: "We were not disappointed: a nail-biting match of the finest kind, decided in the very last game of the very last set. Aubertin won 6/2 4/6 6/5!

In doubles, opponents in one match become partners in the next. Largeron and Aubertin wasted no time burying the hatchet, delivering a commanding 6/3 6/0 victory over the Fontainebleau pair of Antonin Chaix and Tristan Guillemot.
A huge congratulations to all participants, and thank you for a magnificent weekend of competition!
