"By combining the excellence of its current champions with the renaissance of its Beaumont jewel, Pau is poised to prove that real tennis is not a sport of the past, but a remarkable asset for the future."

Below is a short summary in English of the French article:

Real tennis in Pau is experiencing a revival, fuelled by the recent world championship title won by Michel Brunoro and the runner-up team finish alongside Alexandre Boy. This sporting momentum has reignited an ambitious project to restore the historic Beaumont court, built in 1887 but no longer compliant with international competition standards following modifications in the 1950s.

A renovation budget of approximately €600,000 was approved by the previous municipal administration, though it still awaits sign-off from the new mayor

The Jeu de Paume de Navarre club and its president Stéphane Hochart are championing a broad vision — sporting, cultural, heritage, and tourism-driven — to attract players from around the world (notably the UK, US, and Australia) and ultimately host Grand Slam-level tournaments. The project also envisions a real tennis academy to broaden the sport's appeal and attract younger players.
